Great piece here. Part of the mess with Sibel Edmonds and all is she ran across some counter Intel ops trying to set up and catch people looking for the nuke parts and bomb material so we could learn who the players were. They use fake parts for jobs like that.
They also sometimes try to sell them part that will malfunction.

She definitely caught some crooks, and there are plenty of them, but they can stumble across our own penetration operations.

Of course in all the smoke it can become a zoo over who is playing whom. The real big scandal is how Pakistan pulled all their stuff togther, some of it from here. We were desperate for their help in the Afghan invasion for the logistics, so we gave them a pass on their nuclear proliferation…a scandal as they spread more around than anybody had.
