5,000 dead Americans with thousands more maimed/wounded and over a trillion US taxpayer dollars spent (along with a million Iraqis killed according to Lancet and countless others displaced to Jordan, Syria and elsewhere) obviously make the Iraq quagmire not worth the cost (especially when it was for the following nefarious agenda):

I agree there is little evidence that the Iraq invasion was primarily for oil. Almost every one of the neocons who pushed for the war were Z ionists who wanted to get rid of I srael’s arch enemy Saddam Hussein, and this was accomplished in spades by getting its colony the USA to not only do its dirty work for it, but to stay there forever to prevent the rise of another dictator minutes after the US departed.It is accomplishing this task easily by fomenting chaos, death and destruction every now and then to justify the US never leaving. And the stupid American sheeple foot the bill to keep
Isr ael safe, at the expense of their economy, national debt and health care.
And not a peep out of them. Suckers. They deserve to fall deep into the abyss they themselves created in order to keep that Middle Eastern country safe, which itself is using its hegemony to kill off all the Pal estinians and inhabit their land. The maxim “Follow The Money” works every time.

PS: There is no strong case that the Iraq war was for oil! Do a little more reading (‘The Transparent Cabal’ at least!) to see that the Palestinian situation was the primary motivation for the Iraq war as the Israel first neocons (of JINSA/PNAC/AEI) wanted to take down Saddam because he was supporting the Palestinian resistance against the ongoing illegal Israeli occupation (Saddam was giving 25,000 to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers which went a long way in Palestine with the economy being so shot there as a result of the occupation). Take a look at the following article by Robert Fisk when you can and take a look at Washington Post editor/correspondent Karen DeYoung’s bio book about Colin Powell in which Powell conveys that the ‘JINSA crowd’ was in control of the Pentagon:

Order a copy (via Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk) of friend Dr. Stephen Sniegoski’s ‘The Transparent Cabal’ book (and the Mearsheimer/Walt ‘The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy’ book as well) to see that most (if not all of) the oil companies were actually against the Iraq invasion and were in support of lifting the sanctions so they could buy the oil from Saddam instead like they have been doing with Gaddafi in Libya (both ‘The Transparent Cabal’ and ‘The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy’ were mentioned in the following article which appeared in ‘The Independent’ UK newspaper this past Saturday):

PS: Don’t you find it interesting that ‘anti-war left’ hardly (if at all) ever mentions the ‘Israel factor’ for the Iraq quagmire (from what I have seen at least)? Only the ‘war for oil’ smoke screen! Even General Anthony Zinni mentioned the ‘Israel factor’ in the following ’60 Minutes’ interview:
